Today was the final day of the big surf
contest at Popoyo. It turned out to be a great event even
though the waves got a little small for the finals. Samir
took first place for Open Nationals and Cesar Amador took
first place for Junior Nationals. “Gnarly” Norling and
“Capuyo” Joel both represented Surfari and made it to the
semis. In the International division team SUBU took a
clean sweep of first, second, and third. Brodie took top
honors, Donald “Guru” Stone took second, and I took third.
Also our photographer Erin “EBO” O’kon snatched up a
second place finish in the women’s division for team SUBU.
Well, I guess that is how it goes, Team SUBU takes them
down in the San Juan fishing tourney and then follows it
up in the Surf contest. Yeah!! Congrats crew!!! Cause we
be ssssiiiiippppiiiinnnnnggggg on some
SSSSSSUUUUUUBBBBBBBUUUUU!!!!!!!!!!!
