Captain’s Log: Entry

Today we had a nice
sneaker swell come in. I say “sneaker swell”, because it
was only forecasted to have sets in the 7ft range, but
because of the 16 second period, the peak set waves seemed
much larger. We couldn’t get the boat to the reef to
shoot from, but Erin posted up on the hill and scored some
great images for you guys to check out. The conditions
were perfect and we had a great time rushing some big
ones. I was having a tough time finding a barrel to pull
into, but then I finally found one. Unfortunately, when I
came out of the tube, I was on top of a double up and
there was nothing but five feet of air under my board. I
ending up falling on to my back and getting a major whip
lash beat down. I came up seeing stars and partially
blacking out. Luckily, all I ended up with was a sore
neck! The other shots are of Brodie, Robert, and Oliver.
