Captain’s Log: Entry 127, October 20, 2007

As I mentioned in the previous entry, Kristin and I made it back to the US to surprise my Dad for his Birthday, but it also turned out to be Mullet Festival weekend. For those of you who don't know, I am from Niceville Florida, home of the "Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival"! Yes, it really is a huge redneck festival celebrating Mullet (the fish that is, but there are alot of mullet haircuts too!). If you went to Niceville High School, this is like the yearly class reunion. You go to the festival, drink Busch beer, eat mullet backs, and hang with all of your Boggy brothers (a Boggy is a redneck from Niceville, which we are proud to be!). They have live country music, fair rides, and all kinds of food. The first night turned out to be a blast, and after the festival we headed over to Alex's house and had the mandatory beer pong tournament. Ahh, its great to be home!
