Captain’s Log: Entry

Today I took my good buddy Capt. Steve
"Slack" Clark out for a little SUBU mission. We got out
extra early and got into some fish right away. Slack
rigged up some sweet swimming ballyhoo and a nice
Roosterfish inhaled one off the left rigger. It was his
first Rooster ever! We landed some nice Yellowfin, Jacks,
Macks, and Barracudas as well. The wind then started
blowing onshore so we headed offshore to see if we could
find some blue water. Sure enough, a couple of miles out,
the water turned cobalt blue and we had a nice dolphin on
in no time. Slack expertly fought it to the boat and I
stuck him in the head with the gaff. Then in classic Slack
style, Slack started beating up the Dolphin in the box.
Slack is the funniest guy in the world to go fishing with,
he will have you in stitches the whole time. He never
stops cracking jokes, and is always keeping things
interesting. Yes, that is him on the deck molesting a poor
Yellowfin Tuna!! We also saw a free-jumping sail, but had
no luck bringing it into the spread. Another great day in
Nicaragua!
