Captain’s Log: Entry 69, May 3, 2007

After Jimmy and the Boggies putting such a smackdown on the fish yesterday, we decided to take the Volcom Boyz out to see if we could get them "bowed up" on some nice fish. It took some coaxing to get them out of bed (Tom Carey was so drunk we had to entice him into the truck with the rest of his bottle of wine from the night before). We made it out to the zone and the bite was on once again. The wahoo were hitting ferociously, their blistering runs were heating up the reels so much I was thinking the line may melt! We were reeling in one bonita and it got hammered by a wahoo, check out the pic, you can see the perfect V-shaped bite in its side. We ended up catching three nice ones, Tom Carey miraculously got the big one (55lb gutted) drunk and everything (he even shotgunned a beer while reeling it in). The boyz were absolutely amping! Tom even jumped in the water and got some rad underwater shots with the water housing. A great day with some great shots!!!
