| This is our second installment from Surf Europe’s trip down with us. All shots are copyright of Alex Laurel at Surf Europe Magazine. Today we got the boyz out on the Outer Reef to backdoor some slabs. Pete has been frothing to score this wave for a long time. Although it wasn’t the swell of the year, he and Jason were able to pull into a couple of proper pits. Manny paddled out and got the wave of the day on his first ride (there is no pic of that one, but you may check Surf Europe in a couple of weeks). Then the set of the day came and Manny swung around late and attempted a suicidal air drop. The pic gives no justice to the wave. He was committed all the way down, and then got the snot knocked out of him (that’s why we call him Loco Manny!). I also threw in a shot of Oliver “diakachimba” Solis, who got spit out of a sweet pipe. Thanks again to Alex for all of the sick shots!!! |
