| This weekend was a little different than our normal season weekends. We have Marlin Magazine in town shooting photos for an article on Nicaragua, so we had to pull out all the stops! Don Carlos Pellas brought the Rum Runner up from Costa Rica to fish up North with us, and see what we could all make happen. Jon Schwartz, the Marlin Mag photographer, was pumped on the set up, and we scored pretty big Day 1 with 13 Sailfish releases! Both EBO and Jon were shooting pics nonstop!! During the day, we had a storm creep up on us out there, complete with eerie clouds, wind, and lightning, but it didn't slow the fish down at all! We ran from it for a bit, then just decided to fish through it. The girls (Kristin and EBO) were trying out their version of "I'm on a boat" and doing photo shoots from the Rum Runner! Don Carlos let Erin reel in her first Sailfish EVER and she was amping! I could see her legs shaking she was so excited!! Kristin nabbed a Sailfish too, and Don Carlos and friends schooled up the rest of 'em along with some nice sized Dorado too. Stoked! Check back to see what Day 2 brings!
